Fund Raising Fun

Coming up with fundrasing ideas is a challenge for any group. But we are lucky and have a creative and hard working bunch of volunteers that contribute their time and energy to any project we take on.
One of our newest fundraisers is the  Bowling Blind Event. We did the first one in the spring of 2009. It was fun for the entire family. Each bowler was asked to doan a pair of darkened sunglasses right before they throw the ball. People won trophies for best score, worst score and most courteous bowler. What a wonderful experience this was.
We put special thought and care into all of our simulation events and the utmost respect is given to our blind or visually impaired members.
In 2009 we worked with Colonial Vista to have a three day craft fair. We had some of the best crafter's in the city come and show there wares. It was wonderful to see the public come in and show there support and visit with all of us.
Over the years we have had plant sales, Hoe-Downs, Walking Blind and so many more events.
If you are looking for a group to join that is creative, fun and busy come and join us.
The Samara's Foundation meetings have been moved from the E. Wenatchee Fire Station to Garden Terrace So. Emerson in Wenatchee the date is still the third Monday of the month at 6:00 pm, and as always there is coffee and snacks.
So come and meet some great people and make a difference in the lives of others.
